What happens after you book
Five steps, and no payment anywhere in them. Availability varies by town: we never promise a photographer in a location we cannot yet cover.

You request a date
Two or three sentences of detail is enough. No account, password or identity document is needed to book.
Step 2
Zanela reviews it
We check the area, the date and what you need photographed, then look for an approved photographer who covers it.
Step 3
A photographer is offered the shoot
The photographer accepts, and we confirm the appointment with you. Availability is never guaranteed until it is confirmed.
Step 4
You are photographed
About three usable photographs are taken. If you are new to Zanela, the photographer also helps you register and complete verification on the day.
Step 5
Zanela prepares and publishes
We edit, watermark and moderate the photographs before anything appears on your profile. You are not charged at any point.

The service is for eligible Zanela advertisers and is subject to availability. Additional photographs or commercial campaigns beyond the introductory brief are agreed separately, in writing, before any work starts.

Zanela covers the agreed photography cost. There is no photography subscription, deposit or checkout for an advertiser.

We are recruiting photographers across all nine provinces. Where no approved photographer covers your area yet, we will tell you rather than leave the request open.
Verification stays private
Identity documents are captured by an approved photographer inside the secure onboarding process, stored privately and reviewed by Zanela staff — never published, never emailed.
Already an advertiser?
Choose “Yes, I am already registered”, sign in, and pick the profile the shoot is for. Your request appears in your dashboard and our photography queue.

Is the photoshoot really free?
Yes. The photoshoot costs R0.00. Zanela covers the agreed photography cost, so there is no checkout, deposit, subscription or hidden photography fee for an advertiser. You will never be asked for card details to book a shoot.
Can I book before I have an account?
Yes. New advertisers can request a photoshoot without registering. You give us only what is needed to arrange the appointment. When the photographer arrives, they help you complete your Zanela registration and the identity verification your profile needs.
Will I get a photographer on the date I choose?
Not automatically. Your preferred date is a request. We confirm an appointment only once an approved photographer covering your area has accepted it, and we contact you if the date needs to change. Some towns do not yet have a photographer in the network.
Do I need to upload my ID to book?
No. Identity documents are never collected through this booking form. Identity and age verification happens later, in the secure onboarding process, and those documents stay in private storage that is never published.
What should I do before the shoot?
Choose two or three outfits you feel good in, keep makeup natural if that is how you usually present yourself, and think about whether you prefer a studio, a hotel or an outdoor setting. The photographer will confirm the details with you beforehand.
How many photographs do I receive?
The introductory programme generally produces about three usable photographs per advertiser, subject to the brief. Our team edits and moderates them before they are added to your profile gallery.
What if I already have photographs on my profile?
You can ask for new photographs or for existing ones to be replaced. Nothing already live is removed until the replacement photographs have been approved, so your profile is never left without images.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. Reply to the confirmation message from Zanela with the new date, or ask us to cancel. Advance notice helps the photographer, who may be travelling to reach you.
